Objectives of the project :
Single mothers take care of themselves thanks to a training in fabric dyeing and sewing.
To create a meeting place and favoring integration of their children.

Activities to be started :
Purchase of equipment, training in fabric dyeing and sewing. Afterwards, the training will be passed on by beneficiaries and volunteers, what will ensure project’s continuity.

History of the project :
Single mothers percentage is quite high in Koutaba. As they usually can’t rely on their parent’s support, they are left on their own and confronted with two types of problems : difficulty in integrating into the society and lack of resources for themselves and their children.
The training carried out by the AIC volunteers will allow them to meet those needs. Quarterly appraisals are foreseen with the beneficiaries.

Beneficiaries : 20 single mothers, almost all of them illiterate

Total Budget of the project : 610 €
