Objectives :
To transform the land of Saint Vincent de Paul home’s
to permit the old people to become self sufficient.

Vegetables and medicinal plants garden
Selling of the crops
Project :
AIC-Mocoa volunteers wish to improve the quality of
life of the old people living in the Saint Vincent de
Paul home.
Since 1995, they collect money via a radio station (radiotón)
and they received donations to buy the land.
On this land, they build a home for the old people.
They live in the home now.
The next and last step of this project is to allow this
home to be autonomous by exploiting the available land.
Exploitation of the land will have three aims :
- a garden (vegetables, fruits, flowers and medicinal
plants)
- production of organic fertilizers made of droppings
and humus
- production of meat, fish and eggs (Poultry farmer
and fish breeding)
Recipients :
60 old persons, they will participate in the work (care
of animals, garden), within their own capabilities.
The recipients have no income, they are country people,
farmers. They need to feel useful and independent.
