mundo sin violencia contra las mujeres » - Promoting
women empowerment amongst volunteers and beneficiaries
of AIC projects to fight against violence towards
women.
Activities
Mainly intended for women, aim at self-promoting,
development, knowledge of their rights, and training
them to eradicate violence situations and to allow
them to have access to justice in equity conditions.
That is why the project will try to meet different
public and private institutions, and will interact
in rural areas and communities in which AIC is active
to promote co-responsibility in front of the problem
of violence towards women.
Specific activities of the
project
- Workshops and training for women about women’s
rights, self-esteem, effective communica-tion, conflict
resolution, participative leadership to promote female
leadership in communities
- Workshops for men about masculinity, responsible
paternity, love without violence.
- Follow-up of particular cases of women victims of
violence detected during activities of the project.
- Elaborating didactic material to favor multiplying
effects of the project with the different target groups.
Target Groups:
deprived women and men,
AIC volunteers, young couples, Vincentian Marian Youth,
from San Luís Potosí city in Mexico
