Objective of the project: To build a transit hostel were migrants would live temporarily, when they are moving from countryside to Naranjos, Capital of District, seeking temporary job or better living conditions. The hostel offers 24 to 30 rooms for a period from 15 days to one month.

Origin of the project: it aims at welcoming, promoting and supporting people in a situation of serious abandon, poverty or marginality. When crops are ending, a lot of persons move to town, seeking better living conditions. They have no place to spend the night and when they manage to find accommodation in town, they need specific temporary support.

Activities
Activities carried out: Purchase of a piece of land to build the hostel. Obtaining a 225m² land from the Municipality of Pardo Miguel District,
Building of rustic premises by the association members helped by the municipality, to store equipment.
Activities in progress: Building of hostel with community workforces. Search for financing, raising awareness of community about the situation displaced persons are confronted with.
Activities to be carried out: Building of the hostel, support and global training for beneficiaries

Beneficiaries and history of the project: beneficiaries are 85 persons who need humanitarian support. When farm works end, families arrive in Naranjos, either seeking better living conditions, either intending to settle in town. The first ones will go back home, but the latter will need help till they are permanently settled.

Partners: the community and the Municipality of Naranjos support the project.
