Construcion of a rehabilitation center for hearing and
speech impaied children

Objectives : To help
mute and deaf poor children coming from different provinces
of Viet - Nam. The Daughters of Charity are taking care
of the children. Most of them belong to ethnic minorities.
Activities :
- Creation a “didactic playground” for 7
– 18 year old handicapped children
- School work – literacy program, training session
about hygiene, vocational training for social rehabilitation.
- Meals, nutrition project
Project :
In 2002, AIC volunteers and Daughters of Charity build
a school for small children, they have a special class
for deaf and mute children.
To improve this action, they need new hearing aid for
the children, school supplies and clothes + salaries
for two specialized teachers.
Recipients : 15 children
7 - 18 years old.
Total budget of this project
: 15 children x 15€ x 12 month = 2700 €
Local contribution : school building expenses, volunteers’
work
