This document was published in 1982. The AIC Executive Board, convinced of the need to define in a clear text Saint Vincent de Paul´s project, elaborated this document according to today´s and future needs. This text is neither a compilation of by laws, a set of rules, or a history. It is an instrument of work.
The basic document begins with the Declaration of the 360th anniversary of Saint Vincent´s formation of the initial groups (1617 - 1977), that is the manifesto of our identity and our commitment within Saint Vincent de Paul´s fundamental project. Its main purpose is to underline the actuality of Saint Vincent’s project: "Against all forms of poverty, acting together". Even if poverty situations have changed, so have the answers that must be given to the needs.
