Our association AIC-Lebanon usually supports 72 families in a Christian neighborhood in Beirut. This area has been partially impacted by the explosion of August 4th.
The beneficiaries are mostly elderly people, some families with children and Syrian refugee families.
Following the deadly explosion that ravaged the city, AIC is in direct contact with Nawal Sfeir, President of AIC-Lebanon, to find out about the urgent needs in the area.
What she is looking for as a priority is financial support to meet the exceptional costs caused by the explosion (repairing the houses). She also wants to be able to continue the association’s usual actions for which they no longer have the necessary resources (providing one hot meal a week; distributing meat, milk and sanitary products that the beneficiaries do not otherwise receive; co-financing healthcare and the payment of rents and bills).
