The next AIC International Assembly will be held from 15-18th March 2026 in Mexico, under the slogan “Sowing the seeds of peace and hope to transform the world”. International meetings such as this one, held every three years, offer AIC volunteers from around the world a unique opportunity to receive training and share experiences and best practices. This helps volunteers to strengthen their skills so that they can respond more effectively to the different types of poverty they encounter in their local area.
In practice, the Assembly offers volunteers:
- ✅ In-depth training to support them in their work and ensure their projects run smoothly. The main training themes in 2026 will be transformative leadership, peace education, respect for human rights, and conflict resolution.
- ✅ A source of inspiration to find solutions to common issues and new ideas for activities.
- ✅ The opportunity to learn more about local contexts in different countries, to strengthen ties between volunteer groups and to develop new partnerships or “twinnings”.
