International Assemblies

Every 3 years, AIC leverages its statutory international general assembly to provide several days of training for AIC volunteer delegates, allowing them to develop their skills and exchange best practice. These assemblies are attended by over 150 AIC volunteers from the majority of the countries in which AIC is present.

The most recent AIC international assembly took place in Rome in March 2023. The themes covered included sustainable development, networking, and addressing contemporary forms of poverty. Check out the highlights video!

You will find below list of all the AIC international assemblies held since the association took on its current form in 1971, with the proceedings where digital versions are available.

At the end of these meetings, the volunteers present commit to passing on the training they have received to other members of their respective associations. A few months later, they are invited to explain how this training has been shared in their country and how the new common priorities have guided their actions.
